Older people living with cancer

A blog for the following project

“The ADVOCACY ON THE WARDS project is all about working with older people affected by cancer. We aim to recruit and train people over 50 to support their peers who need help coping with the effects of cancer on their lives.
We are funded by Macmillan and the Big Lottery Silver Dreams fund. The Older People’s Advocacy Alliance are the lead organisation working with  five partner organisations who will offer these opportunities in

DORSET, GATESHEAD, SEFTON, AND STOKE ON TRENT.

The project will make a difference to individual people struggling with the effects of cancer on their lives by supporting them to speak out and get their views heard on decisions relating to treatment and care.”
