Listening to the Voice of Families and their Health Visitors

The Children, Young People and Maternity Directorate and Service Experience Directorate of NHS North West have worked together to deliver a”proof of concept” project “Listening to the Voice of Families and their Health Visitors”.

This project has tested new ways of capturing the experiences of families, children and health visiting staff, and has the potential to revitalise the health visiting service offer. The work was commissioned by the Department of Health (DH), and ran from November 2011 to March 2012. The project trialled and evaluated three different methods of capturing feedback; from families, from children and from health visitors, using: SMS Texting, Children‟s Care Cards and Family Echo respectively.
